Favorite Food: Anything raw! I aspire to be a raw food eater at some point. But as
a general rule of thumb, the stranger the combo the better! This week
favorite is cabbage and olive oil with a dash of Braggs Amino and lemon...Lemon
goes great on anything, I even like it on fruit, like papaya and green
mango! You can also make a mask of that very combo and slap it on your
face as a great beauty regime! All those enzymes are great for dead
skin, and it makes your elbows soft too!!hehe My favorite upcoming artist & singer is Miss Ayvee baby! She has the most soulful voice, and that girl can really put it down!http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/hottsongbird/ I don't have a favorite type of music, I feel like I can relate to many types of music, I love the mantra music and the sound of a harp, or a sitar. it is so soothing and hypnotic... I am also a HUGE fan of my amazingly wonderful talented best-est Daddy!!
Well, especially since he wrote and dedicated a song just for me...
AWW! I used to get so mushy before when I tried to listen to it, and
would get all teary eyed, but now it just reminds me of how lucky I
am to be so loved! Yoga, Spinning, Dance, anything outdoors, hiking, rollerblading, cross
country skiing, I love it all! Who do you admire? Robert Redford- as an actor, and what he has created with Sundance. Salma Hayek-what a lot of people don't know is that she is a cutting edge producer; I love what she did with Frida, and how hard she fought to make it happen. Someone I can't help but admire who is a noble lady would be Mother Teresa having found her calling in helping others, and making the world a sweeter place. Another person I admire is Mae West for her brutal honesty, and unabashed
outspoken nature! I admire people that live their truth and live for their passion, may it be through serving others, being themselves or fighting for what they believe in promoting art in any form, even in spirituality. Where did you spend your childhood? As a little girl, I spent some time in the great Philippine Jungle. I came back fluent in Tagalog, and had a great little accent! I also got to experience some communal living when my parents moved to the Steven Gaskon Farm in Tennessee! I remember how thrilling it was to run around with naked and with no restrictions, free as a bird! I could play wherever I wanted, do whatever I wanted and swim in the lake whenever I wanted. I recall almost drowning a few times, but boy was it fun! Another interesting place I lived was in a place in the boonies called Seven Ravens in Mendocino CA. far far away from any society! I pretty much had to entertain myself and I guess you could say that my wild imagination was truly my best friend. My childhood was interesting. I don't ever recall being bored- I was too busy making lots of art as a child and exercising my creative mind. I have lived in many places throughout the States even in the notorious "EPA” (East Palo Alto), which at the time carried the title of "highest homicide rate per capita in the world". I remember the constant sound of gun shots, so when one of my family friends disappeared of the face of the earth, it was like o.k. we gotta do something different! Eventually my family migrated to the very sweet town of Ashland OR. And I ended up being like the only ethnic child in school! Where you a girlie girl or tomboy growing up? I was a tomboy big time! I was into snakes and spiders. I had a black widow I caught named Bubba, and a snake named Izzy. I was always catching weird creatures like lizards and frogs. One time I caught a lizard by the tail and it came off. I was horrified! I stopped catching lizards... I hung with the boys, who at the time where like serious dirt bike riders, we would all roll out to the mountains and then we would speed through the woods and there was all these crazy jump offs on the way. I was always terrified, but I had proved I was tough enough! My favorite place to be though, was up in the trees=) Before you got into Entertainment, What was your strangest job? I was a Goat Herder!! It was very entertaining! Goats are very interesting creatures, they are actually quite smart, and don't like to be herded. They are strong willed, and eat weird things like leaves and bark, in a way, we are very similar=) except I don't have a beard! Thank you! What is the highlight of your career so far? The greatest career highlight is starting my own film production company
"Golden Goddess Films" What is the most interesting offer/request you've received from a fan? I have gotten a lot of offers to be a foot model! Lot’s of request strangely enough. If you could spend a day or night with any one person, who would it be and why? I would have to say Oprah Winfrey. She is one of the most amazing people on earth. The way she balances her success, her generosity, and the awareness she spreads through this world.. I look to her, and her journey to where she is now. she is truly an extraordinary women who I have learned a lot from. Where do you see your career going? I'm building my roots right now, being an Independent performer and creator- I don't wait around dwindling my thumbs. I decide what I and how to get there. My goal is to produce my own films. This is very liberating, and I have become selective in finding the right roles, and what feels good, instead of just trying to get work because of desperation. I have been there and done that!! It's time for change, but I am open to working on the right projects with the right people. Where do you see yourself in five years? As a Producer, Director, Writer and Actress, I see many beautiful projects
coming to fruition. Any piercings? I have had a lot more in the past, but as time rolls on it seems they are fading away-and right now it's just me and my Belly Button Baby!! Tattoos? Nada, clean as a slate What makes you special? I am blessed to be surrounded by highly creative individuals, every person in my family is highly creative with amazing artistic abilities, some of the most wonderful loving, giving and appreciative people I know!! What do you expect when you come from an environment like that? I used to think my family was really weird, because no one else was like us. I always felt different, and having almond butter sandwiches with avocado packed for my lunch while everyone else had wonder bread and sliced ham. I wanted what everyone else had. I found all the things that brought so much diversity as a child growing up has become what I embrace and find empowering now. I know that's what makes me special today! Quote You Live By: Before there was star wars, there was this wonderful quote: What advice do you have for an aspiring Artist? To be honest, there is no “One” thing that works for people. You will find yourself evolving and that is o.k. Be patient with yourself, don’t try to run out and just be like everyone else. There is ALWAYS room for someone new and different. That is actually what people want, but they just don’t know what it is because it hasn’t been done yet. You don’t have to be a clone, though it may seem that way at times. It’s just there has never been a “YOU” before, so make it happen. And go out and write your own material, your own scripts, do your own thing, and share it!! You never know what can happen unless you try, try and try again! |
